This policy explains what personal information Boogal collects, why, and what you can do about it. It is
written to meet the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).

What we collect

When you contact us, book a consultation or become a client, we collect:

• your name and contact details
• information about your business, including registration and tax numbers
• documents you send us, which may include identity documents
• records of our correspondence with you

When you use our website we also record anonymous usage statistics. These do not identify you and are not
shared with any advertising network.

Why we collect it

To provide the services you have asked for, to meet obligations to CIPC, SARS and other authorities on your
behalf, and to contact you about your business. We do not sell your information to anyone.

Who we share it with

Only where it is needed to do the work: the relevant authority when we file on your behalf, and service
providers who help us run the platform. Where a third party processes information for us, they are bound to
use it only for that purpose.

How long we keep it

For as long as you are a client, and afterwards for the period South African law requires business and tax
records to be retained — generally five to seven years.

Your rights

You may ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, and in some cases ask us to delete it. Write to
[email address] and we will respond within a reasonable period.

If you are not satisfied, you may complain to the Information Regulator of South Africa.

Security

Documents are stored outside the public web directory and served only to people who are signed in and
authorised. Credentials are encrypted at rest, passwords are hashed and cannot be read by anyone at Boogal,
and every access to a client document is logged.
